Area of Specialisation: Wildlife Genetics and Biodiversity Conservation

My research is aimed at using genetic tools in the management of wildlife resources to

  1. Resolve taxonomic uncertainties in order to identify populations that might need special focus in conservation efforts and those that may not.
  2. Establish the effects of domestication, spatial distributions and isolation on wildlife populations.
  3. Establish a domestication scheme for the edible frog species in Southwestern Nigeria.
